I am a sculptor and letter-carver who specialises in the design and handcarving of memorials. I make memorials from stone quarried in the British Isles; these include Yorkshire stone, Welsh blue/grey slate, Westmoreland or Lakeland slates and fine-grained limestones; all these stones take lettering beautifully. It is often possible to choose a stone local to its final setting.

 

 

I have a particular specialism in relief carving in slate. A realistic style of carving which lends itself to portraiture, landscape and images of personal significance.
