I have carved memorials in and around Craven and the North West for over twenty years. My training began with a local monumental mason, later trading as S. Bradley Memorials. I specialise in relief carving which I studied under John Green FRCA. I now teach this and lettering in slate for The Orton Trust. I also run some courses locally. I have most recently studied to HNC in Fine Art (3D Design) and now undertake sculptural commissions.

 

 

Artist statement

 

"I believe passionately about carving directly in stone. The method draws together the ancient craft skills of working stone that is an understanding of the tools and materials, with an artists vision for a design.
